Character Name: Annabella Christine Anderson
Age/Birthday: 30 / December 24, 1979
Sexuality & Relationship Status: Straight / Single, Mother of one
Job: Housekeeper @ The Lodge

How did they find Heritage Lake?: Evan's parents live in the town so it was natural for her to move there after his death.

Appearance: Annabella is your typical girl next door. She stands at give feet tall, has bright green eyes, and her blonde hair falls down around her shoulders. One day the golden strands could be curly while the next they will be straight as a board. For having had a child her body is rather fit and she has some nicely toned muscles in her arms and legs from her different lines of work. Most times she wears pants and a shirt, nothing too fancy since she spends much of her time with her son who enjoys playing outside in the dirt and just getting grimy. There are times when she does get to dress up though, and she is a knockout. Too bad they are few and far between.
Portrayed By: Kate Hudson

Personality: Upbeat and happy really. That’s the way to describe her. She is optimistic about life unless it has something to do with her and then she’s more of a pessimistic. Annabella can make friends easily and can find anything to talk about if an uncomfortable silence starts to settle in. She likes to have fun and doesn’t let having a son take over her entire life, making sure to take at least one night a week out for herself to go dancing with her friends or just spend some time alone with herself. If you can believe it having a four year old doesn’t leave you much alone time.

About the only thing that can possibly bring her down is talk of relationships due to the emotional beating (and child) her previous one unexpectedly left her with. While she still believes in love it’s hard for her to believe that she can find another love for her life.

Anna is also very in tune with her sexuality, having no problem admitting to herself that she is a very attractive, and sometimes sexy, woman. While she hasn’t had much experience in the relationship area since her son was born (for many a reasons), she isn’t opposed to such things. Being a romantic at heart simply stops her from one night stands, so does her son.

History: On the night of December 24, 1982 a newborn baby girl was found in a bassinet outside of Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital, no mother to be found anywhere trying to claim her. For weeks she was in the hospital, tons of babies being born and leaving everyday while the nurses, doctors and police searched for the parents of the yet to be named child with now luck, the entire buildings staff calling her baby Jane Doe. When the time finally came for her to part of the hospital she'd been dumped at one nurse that had grown particularly fond of her decided it wasn't fair for her to not have a name, no one wanted to adopt a nameless child. Annabella Anderson was the name bestowed upon her, the first a combination of the two nurses that had taken care of her the most and the last name from the author of her favorite bedtime story, The Princess and the Pea.

For whatever reason it might have been Annabella never found herself being adopted out, instead spending her childhood in a variety of foster homes, all the adults falling in love with her but none ever wanting to adopt her for their own. During most of that time she was the normal child, not thinking anything of the fact no family seemed to want her as an addition, at least not until ninth grade came along and a project done during health class brought it to her attention. Once this hit she went on a rebellious stage (for her at least) and enlisted her best friend of the time to be her friend with benefits, him not complaining at all about the deal. Her grades slipped from A’s to C’s and D’s and she even started dabbling in some drug use, mainly marijuana and some ecstasy.

This behavior carried on through all of high school, it only wavering as graduation came and she realized there was no one to take care of her anymore but herself. She didn’t have any family to help her through college or the tough time to be had after graduating; the only person that there would be to rely on was herself. Slowly the bad habits came to a stop – Drugs first and then the casual sex with her friend, both understanding that they were in different places each still needing the other for emotional support but no longer for the physical. In fact she swore off intimacy with men all together, focusing on what she wanted to do with her life and making it something to be proud of instead of focusing on what hadn’t gone as planned so far.

It took her all of a week to figure out what she wanted to do with her life, the career having been her hobby for as long as she could recall. As a child in foster care all the little girls would play together and she’d be doing their hair, and as she grew older it wasn’t just pony tails either – Anna had taught herself the ins and outs of actually cutting it with talent no one had ever seen before. In high school she earned money doing other females hair at lunch or after school, they’d call her up to have it done for dates on Saturday night and when a dance came around? The other ladies would bid for the chance to have their locks done by her! Anna breezed through Cosmetology school without any effort at all, teachers asking her how she did things and graduating at the top of her class.

Finally done with all the school she would ever need in her profession Anna went in with a few friends and brought their own salon. It was a rough start at first but soon business was booming and she couldn't have been happier...at least she hadn't thought she could be happier until he walked into her salon. Evan Rivers came into her shop looking like a honest to goodness mountain man, beard and hair atop his head longer than most men she saw now-a-days and at first she didn't want to be the one to cut his hair, being a little intimidated by the man that was an entire foot taller than she was and looked like he could crush a car without trying. Thankfully though, he sat in her chair and she took off all that hair of his without any hesitation at all since he'd given her control of what the outcome should be -- A brand new hair cut and her phone number. That meeting turned into a date, and then it turned into and handful more until finally at Christmas she let it slip that she loved him, Evan returning the sentiments without missing a beat. Two years went by of them being blissfully happy when tragedy struck; the policing arriving at the place her and Evan had been living at for three months to tell her that he'd been shot in a robbery gone awry. Typical to his character Evan had tried to help an elderly lady from being car jacked only to lose his life in the process.

Three days later she found out she was carrying his child.

The next nine months were hard for her, the constant guilt over the death of her lover that she might have been able to keep him around had she only gotten up to go with him like he'd asked her too. Her family and friends helped out constantly by bringing her food and making sure she still had a place to live since she couldn't bring herself to leave the last place she'd seen Ev. However when the baby finally came all things changed, Annabella realizing she had to stop letting her guilt rule her life and take care of her and Evans son because no one else would and no one else had responsibility over the two of them. Going back to work was difficult, it being a reminder of the first time her and Evan had met, but she pushed through it and it was as if she never went on a nine month hiatus, in fact she felt she could hide her pain in her work.

Soon she realized that it just wasn't working, doing hair wasn't stopping her from constantly thinking about Evan, neither was going grocery shopping, getting the car fixed...nothing she did in this town did anything to help her rid herself of the depression she was stuck in. Nothing much could help her besides a change of scenery, a change of pace, a change of...everything.

Packing up everything she sold her house and moved to Heritage Lake, the small town that Evan's parents had lived in for years was the perfect place. While his parents lived there it wasn't going to bring up constant memories of what she had lost, it would also allow her the type of help she needed with her son. Anna would be able to walk places or go to the store without having to purge her mind of all thoughts Evan. She even quit her job as a hairdresser in favor of becoming a housekeeper at The Lodge. It wasn't the most glamorous of jobs and didn't pay her enough for a house but it did well enough that she could afford a small two bedroom apartment in town as well as pay all her bills.

Fears: Losing her son, airplanes, Finding love
Desires: Raise a respectful son, own her own house, Find love

One Secret: She sometimes hates how similar her son and his father look. It's a constant reminder of what she lost.
